The American Kestrel

One day, while taking a photo walk in my neighborhood, I turned around and what did I see? An American kestrel falcon looking into a hole in a saguaro cactus.

It is the smallest falcon found in North America. I think it may have been looking for lunch since that hole has housed some smaller birds and their nests. Chance encounters such as these turn a simple walk into a photographic opportunity and a learning experience.

  1. I was in an art gallery a while ago and saw your Kestral Falcon. I kept going back to it, drawn by its color and detail which you captured so well. I found your website with its store and your featuring that photo. I immediately purchased it to display in my home. You do wonderful work; thank you.
